why we have emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, & visual clutter part 2

another reason we have emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, & visual clutter is because we focus on all the what if’s. what if i need this item someday? what if my mother gets mad at me for throwing this item away? what if i lose out on all the money i spent on this item when i bought it 20 years ago? what if this item doesn’t stay in the family? what if the person i give the item to throws it in the garbage, gives it away to someone else, or doesn’t treat said item the way that i would treat it?

although all of these questions are valid, and they definitely are worth exploring, another question to intentionally ask yourself is: “what if living in the state that i’m currently living in continues for the rest of my life?”

what if i never feel like i can breathe?

at the end of the day, when we choose to live a life that is void of clarity, space, freedom, authenticity, peace, and abundance, we then offload the responsibility and decision-making to our loved ones and friends who are left behind.

this often leads to bitterness, resentment, quarreling, and complicated grief because not only do they have to deal with funeral arrangements, and the pain of loss, but now they have the extra load of going through belongings and making decisions they may not have the capacity for.

when we do our own self-work, part of the legacy that we leave behind is healing, freedom, abundance, and the gift of enjoying life’s simple pleasures one unique design, space, style, and organization at a time.

Let’s all heal so we don’t spill!

be blessed!
