Building a Breakfast Bar

Engaging in mealtimes are one of the most bonding and connecting experiences that any family can have.  Eating breakfast and or dinner together creates memories that can last a lifetime.

Some apartments and or homes have both a kitchen area and a dining room.   Then you have others where there are only dining rooms or only kitchens.  In any case, if you have just the right layout in your apartment and or home, you can create a breakfast bar, add a few industrial style barstools in the mix, and then have an area where your family, friends, and guests can build a lifetime of memories.

Sometimes you end up with a situation like myself when i lived at my last residence, where you want the ability to seat more people in the kitchen (perhaps 10 to 12), but you don’t have the space, nor the money to do it.  This is where building a breakfast bar comes in handy.  Breakfast bars are great because they are multifunctional.  They can serve as a breakfast bar/homework center/painting spot/reading area.  You decide.

The breakfast bar featured in this post only takes about 30 minutes to build, and very few materials.  Plus, you can’t beat the price.

I purchased the stools that are featured IN THIS POST from Amazon.  I decided upon these particular ones because I wanted a combination of an industrial/farmhouse/rustic look, along with something that would withstand THE WEar and tear of teenagers AT THE TIME, PLUS THE usage in general.  I don’t like to have to keep buying furniture.  The stools come in two different sizes: table and bar height.

the BREAKFAST BAR AND STOOLS are both simple and functional, and that’s what OUR LIFESTYLE IS ALL ABOUT. SO GIVE YOURSELF GRACE AS YOU LIVE OUT LOUD ENJOYING THEM.

Keep in mind that if you add more footage to your slat of construction wood, you can add a coffee station to the very end of your breakfast bar, creating a homey, coffee-house style kitchen that everyone can enjoy.

Now on to the materials and instructions for creating your simple, functional, grace-filled living BREAKFAST bar.
